  1. The HazMat shipping fee makes buying by mail-order a bit expensive. How can I avoid this fee?

To receive free shipping*, tell us the name of your local camping store when you place your order (on the last page of the checkout screen, fill in the box called 'Add special instructions to seller').   We'll ship your order to the camping store for you to pick up, and your shipping fee will be refunded in full.  *(Free shipping in the 48 contiguous states.  Half price shipping to Alaska & Hawaii.)

  1. I am taking a commercial flight to go on vacation. Can I take my flares with me?

Flares are not allowed on commercial flights.  Not in your hand luggage and not in your checked luggage.  Let us know where you are going and we'll send them there by FedEx for you.

  1. I am driving to Canada. Can I take my flares with me?

Import regulations allow you to carry a small amount across the border for personal use, but remember to declare it.  Better yet KodiakCanada.com can ship plenty straight to your hotel in Canada.

We can send flares to you anywhere in the world.  Order in bulk to offset the air-freight HazMat shipping charges.

  1. Why do BearBangers require an explosives permit?

When the new Pest Control Provision is written into the Code of Federal Regulations, you will not need a permit.  It is imminent.  Sign up here for a notification email.
