Flares are not allowed on commercial flights.  Not in your hand luggage and not in your checked luggage.  Let us know where you are going and we'll send them there by FedEx for you.

  1. I am driving to Canada. Can I take my flares with me?

Import regulations allow you to carry a small amount across the border for personal use, but remember to declare it.  Better yet KodiakCanada.com can ship plenty straight to your hotel in Canada.

  1. I am in an overseas country or state.  How can I get flares?

We can send flares to you anywhere in the world.  Order in bulk to offset the air-freight HazMat shipping charges.  You will need your country's explosives import permit to pass cartridges thought your port of entry.

Very few stores carry flares in the US at present.  See Question 1, above.

  1. What is the shelf life?

Flares have a recommended shelf life of three years, but are known to keep indefinitely if stored in cool, dry conditions.

Flares are water resistant.  Keep them in sealed bag or container around water.
